The Future Military

What's everyone think it'd be like? I got some ideas, and i'll post em later.

Future Military

Whats everyone think the military of the future will be like? Whichever timeframe. I got some ideas, and i'll post em later.

I don't really care for the military, or warfare, but as I think you'll agree, it'd be cool to see warfare go back to skill, and have stuff like mechs/gears/ gundams...

ahh, sorry i thought i was in the debate forum for some reason hehe...so this is in the wrong forum slightly.

oh well, I'm thinking that it would be much better if there was a united Earth government similar to the one is Starship Troopers (Robert A. Heinlin). because it would suck if the furure governments were like 1984. so if in the SST situation the military would be means of getting citizenship.

i hate the concept of nuclear weapons. Not only does it claim more casualities than conventional warfare, but it also takes out the skill and tactics involved for military strategy (haha sadistic yes i know)

well right now they have headsets that can be attached to the gun, so all you have to do is point the gun around the corner and shoot. you won't have to expose yourself. I wonder how that would develop. infantry would probably be in dead lock because nobody is going out. so planes and artillery would probably do most of the job.

mmmmmmmmmm...... hmmmmmm..... i hope there doesn't have to be a future military....like.... world peace ya know? but i know that's not gonna happen..

it'll probably be deadlier than ever.... what like those guns in that comedy "mars attacks" where you shoot and all your flesh gets dissintagrated.(sp?)...... and like ..... bombs that can... do horrible things... worse than atoms bombs... geh....

I think that if world peace is achieved aliens would attack after a few years. Either that or revolutions would take place.

Drone planes are a nice idea, and now that they are actually being used i say we should continue the develpment of them! haha. They are basically fighter jets that are piloted from a remote facility so there are no US casualties. We used like 3 in Afghanistan during the bombing raids.

they also use that 'cypher' thing. it's kinda scary but it's real

think about how this stuff will seem when it's very common, like how all these missles are stuff are common and not as scary as it seemed before. (but still is)
