PS2, X-Box, or Game Cube

i'm trying to choose between PS2 or X-Box but i threw game cube in because i might wanna get it... but which should i got... can't really decide

well...xbox live has the best online stuff... and way more than ps2 does. and it's easier to modify an xbox than a ps2....but gotta love hte ps2...chose ps2 over the xbox cause of basically one game...GT3/4..

basically..which console has more of the types of games you want?

Gamecube owns


gamecube has the best value. it doesn't have a dvd player? well, don't buy a ps2 or an xbox, buy a gamecube then buy a seperate dvd player.


gamecube games are more exclusive to gamecube than ps2 or xbox games because they aren't 3rd party (halo- pc FF games etc.)


but i know you're getting a ps2, so i'm not going to continue arguing

what sort of games do you like?

i would say PS2 has the largest variety regardless, and the best selection of games. More companies develop for ps2 than they do for gamecube or x-box, and a good majority of those games get ports to ps2 as well.

PS2 has a dvd player in it as well, and so does x-box but i think gamecube is a kiddie system because of the games that are on it. I have not found a game that i can play for hours on it yet. It is like a toy. No offense to gamecube fans

for online thing..I'd get a ps2..you say you don't want an x-box live right..

but if you DO wanna go online later then you have to buy a whole new system rite?(or can you just get some upgrade pack or something..iono)

but with ps2...you can just get a ps2 and add a network adapter later on. (is it true that the new models don't have the expansion bay int he back anymore? the modems just plug into the usb and hte i-link is gone too?)


as for FPS...*shrugs*..ya got me there..but I think PS2 has got it for RPGs.

the FF series, .hack// series, xenosaga, just to name a few that will have more than one title comming out.

for rpg's get ps2

for online get xbox

for fun nights with ur friends.....get gamecube.

i find gamecube to be a lot more fun. im just a multiplayer kind of guy.

melee, mario party. stuff like that.
