what are the benefits of broadband compared to dial-up?

stuff like that...


if u write an essay about it.. it would be even better!!!


i cant stand my 28.8 modem connection.. makes me maddd haha

plus an aditional 20-50 dollars for phone bills
busy signal when people call, easily get disconnected
speeds are 56k download and upload speeds, (around 3-5 kb per second transfer rates)

benefites for broadband (my broadband provider)
39.99 a month
no aditional fee for phonebill, never a busy signal, never get kicked off or disconnected.. its always on.
much faster... my speeds are 9566kbps download, 989kbps upload. (1000kb/sec transfer rate on some servers, average around 500 kb/sec per second

compare both prices, broadband is faster, cheaper, more reliable, and installation is easy. some providers install it for you in your own comfort of your home.

if u have 28.8 and he wont get broadband...atleast get a better modem man, they do have 128 u know.

Expensive for the weak service they give you, slow, unreliable

broadband
fast, reliable, usually atleast 50x faster then 56k. doesnt tie up the phone. sometimes if u get cable TV and cable modem connection they throw in a deal if u get it from the same company (sometimes). most isp providers give you some webspace. you can have more than one computer online at once.

i remember 33.6 days.. .soo rare, i dont even think they sell those 33.6 modems nemore. i still have one somewhere in my house :)

haha yeah i have a 56K but the connection is consistenly 28.8

well tell your dad that the prices of dsl are dropping so much that it is practically the same as 56k. and with dsl i can do my homework twice as fast and stuff like that. it should work
