kill bill vol 1
anyone see it? i havent yet but i really want to. i heard its really gorey though..still, it looks pretty nice
saw it this last week... it was... interesting. I wouldn't say boring yet I wouldn't say exciting... it's somewhere in between. I just like the samurai/japanese style of fighting. And yes it's gorey. I'm looking forward to part 2 actually. I say, go see it!
there wasn't just "samurai/japanese" fighting techniques used in the movie (Though the swords are Japanese). Sonny Chiba (of The Street Fighter series fame, and also Hattori Hanzo in the movie) as well as the now infamous Yuen Woo-Ping choreagraphed the fight scenes in the movie. There's a health mixture of japanese and chinese fighting styles in it. A very, very basic characterization of the fighting in the movie would be that the movement was Chinese, and the strikes were Japanese, though there are plenty of exceptions. The movie was a good movie, entertaining for sure. If you're familiar with the film genres/movies it honors (some may say ripped off) it's even better.

i finished all my hw and ended up seeing it today..i thought it was actually a pretty good movie. i liked the way the director handled everything, how he shot the film, how it was edited,..it made the whole movie really artistic.
