[beauty trend] Silver Eyes

"These days—and especially nights—marquee mavens are seeing a silver lining. Soft gunmetal-colored liners and shadows are the latest evening accessory for eyes. And lately, the look has been spotted on everyone from Kate Hudson to Claire Danes. "Silver adds a shot of brightness to any color eye," says the aptly named N.Y.C. makeup artist Melissa Silver. Fortunately, this makeup trend can be achieved without attending beauty school: Simply line your upper and lower lids with a metallic-hued pencil, says Silver. Then work a little color into the inner corners of your eye. Or, for a subtle look similar to Hudson's night vision, use shadow instead of pencil. Silver suggests Three Custom Color Specialists Silver eye shadow ($19.50; threecustom.com). Dampen a small, angled brush with water, lightly dip it in shadow, and sweep the color along your lash line. Heigh-ho silver, away! —Elizabeth Graves"

i like anna paquin's, even tho she looks kinda scary cuz she's so darn pale. i dunno, i think it's hard to match to. i prefer traditional colors like dark blue or brown
