dark cloud 1 (HELP ME)

ok so i started playing dark cloud 1 before my bf decides to sell it on ebay...cuss i kinda have a thing for rpg, racing and shootin games...but anyhoot

im stuck on this part where i need to build the robot and make him come alive...ive assembled himand pretty positive that its correct but the friggin bugger wont come alive =\....ive visited everyone..and im stuck on how to make it come alive...so HELP ME PLEASE~!!!!!!!!!!

ive looked online for the answers..and it didnt help..
