Church Camp

I just came back from my church camp.... its a camp where kids volounteer to repair houses for the elderly and the disabled. I met a lot of people. But I also learned a lot of things. It made me feel good to see the homeowner happy with what we did. She appreciated the work we did for her very much . But I was troubled cause I thought we could do more for her and her family. She was a grandmother taking care of her five grandchildren. The parents of the children severly mistreated them. One four year old girl was dying from a disease. Our group played with the children a lot, but our main job was to take the covering off the roof, and replace it, because the roof was damaged. When It was time to leave.... it was hard for all of us to say goodbye to the family after working with them for a week. But I think we all did a good job, and really helped someone in need
