skipping grades

have you ever got the chance to skip a grade or two? and if you did, did you? why or why not?

i had a chance last year, 6th grade, to skip to 8th grade.. i would've gone to get a challenge... but my mom decided my mind couldnt handle it and she told my teacher no... >_< i coul've been one of the smart people then...

i'm basically skipping my senior year. i'll be a junior with senior status next year. i'll have mostly junior classes and 1 or 2 senior classes. ima have 2 english classes next year -_-.
reason why i'm doing this is becuz i think senior year is a waste of time.

i think i could have skipped 2nd or something hehe. but then i moved into an area with a much more competitive school district, and i'm sure glad i didn't skip. i'm already struggling as it is. but i noticed that the majority of the kids who do skip are still at the top of the class, like these 2 kids in my grade. eesh

I skipped kindergarden to first grade, because I learned to the alphabets when I was 2, and to read when I was 3, but I had to do first grade again because I switched schools...

the school i go to doesn't allow skipping grades... i was already done with senior classes last year, but we have these dumb senior requirements we have to fill... extra english and math and all that. it's such a waste of time...

i've known some people who have skipped grades. I believe it was becuase they were enrolled late though as opposed to them being smarter. Though i do know of a person whose intellect would allow them to skip several grades. From where he is right now at 1st grade, maybe all the way to 2nd grade. His name is Spartan, he's on jsl. Everyone congratulate him. Shhh, don't tell him but the person he sits next to is gay. If he finds out he'll commit a hate crime or something, gotta watch out for those angsty teenagers...does 12 years old count as being a teenager? hmm guess not....well then angsty kids.

This person probably did well, there wasn't really much difference between grades in elementary school.
