goodness of mankind
do you think think goodness of mankind exists? never was? i personally believe in the goodness of mankind...even if the numbers are falling...for those people i still believe in you..this is somewhat a vague topic..opinion..thoughts..
just saying, but i really don't like "common man" linguistics...

Generalizing man is like answering E=mc˛. It's impossible and generally you're wrong as it is.

Answer it.
You can't - you don't have a mass or the energy involved. Hence, answering it is impossible. That is what I meant. Generalizing man is equally impossible.

two of the three must be given to you in the first place if you want to call it a problem and not a formula. i agree that generalizing man is impossible but i just dont see eye to eye with your example.
One is a constant so it's only one out of two.
But I see what you mean. It was a long time ago that I made that post anyway.

i think the point that requiem was making is that there isn't one single answer to E = MC^2. Saying htere is only one answer is generalizing; however, he doesn't exclude the possibilities of actual answers being yielded through that equation. Actual answers yielded with values given to solve for whatever would not be generalizations to the extent that requiem is talking about, it'd be more of a case by case thing.
E = MC^2 doesn't have an answer, it has many. That's the point i think. Correct me if i'm wrong please.

I'm sorry, but what numbers prove otherwise? Crime has actually been dropping within the past decade. Media coverage, on the other hand, has increased exponentially.

instead of generalizing mankind... I can say that goodness does exist, but I don't think it exists in every single person. But, it does exist.
