In all honesty, what do you look for in a girlfriend/boyfriend? What traits (physical/character) appeal to you?

sense of humor, caring
kinda athletic
a lil opposing..not always agreeing with me
taller than me..
mature
serious when needed, but fun a lot of times
i guess..

Well, in a significant other, I would look for:

· A sense of humor
· Someone who can make me smile with the mere thought of them
· Someone who's not afraid to voice out their own opinions
· Independence
· Honesty
· Nobility
· Intelligence (ehh...it wouldn't hurt ^_^)

~and the physical trait that would compel me to look twice is.....their eyes

face the facts, i am not as shallow as you are.... so don't be an ass and make false assumptions.

yes, all of us here have a certain degree of shallowness in us. however, don't think the entire world has plummetted down so deep along with you to think that looks are what matter the most in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex.
it would have been much more noble of you to say that you would like to chase after a girl with both good looks and good personality. why can't you have both? the moment you prioritize looks over the other, you forfeit on the spot your right to meeting any decent girls on this planet and trade it in for many encounters instead with cheating whores, gold diggers, the whining biyatches.
but hey, in your case, who cares if they sleep with other men, steal your money, or complain to you 24/7, right? all that supposedly matters is that they look good while doing it.

And everything you guys are saying...is GENERAL. It's so vague. Just start a thread with a poll...

"Do you want a nice, pretty/handsome, smart, FUNNY, mature significant other?!?"

yes - 80% (over half of that would want them to be christian)

no - 10%

and the last 10% dont' even answer these because it's been brought up way too many times, in different forms.

Anyone here have anything personal that they would want? i.e. I want someone who sings for me, even if they're not that great at singing...or doesn't even like to sing. Or play the piano, or any other musical instrument for me, even though they're shy about playing in front of others. **that shows sacrifice.

I don't know if any of you understand what I'm getting at. But if you do...why don't you share something more deep, more personal and meaningful, that you would want in/from your sig. other.

Gosh I totally agree with you.
Last summer I went on a mission trip with the other church, and there was this girl whom I liked. She liked me back, too. After a hard day of work out, got into church. People started coming in and out and eventually it was only me and her. Then she started playing the piano, gosh she looked so beautiful. I just wished the time would stop right there. I guess the reason I started the guitar is so when i get good enough, I can play for the girl I like. And make her feel the way I felt before.

i kno wat u mean. wat im lookin for largely is a gf that will understand me at the moment and kno wat to do. help me when i fall, be there when im desserted, and leave me 2 mourn when life falls.

It's rare answers that I guess I'm trying to get out of you. Something different that you want, that no one else might want, or not everyone agrees with.

Another example. I'm usually bored. And I remember countless times of being bored in highschool. I also remember that I used to have this lady friend who I used to like, actually, it was mutual, but anyways, she and I would just stay on the phone together...for hours. Sometimes without even exchanging words for half-hours at a time. We'd do our own thing if we had things to do, or we'd chat, or we'd just sit/lay there without any words, but thoughts. The point is, she's there, enjoying my company, and I hers, though on the phone, it's us having that certain/specific connection, knowing that other person is there, hearing their breath...*sigh.

**I love headsets now. I bought a nice sony one for my cell phone...but I'm just kind of waiting for that certain someone to use it with.
