Gas prices?

i saw on the news that before the hype about the war (when gas prices were low), companies bought oil at $25 a barrel. since word of war spread, gas prices soared through the roof, and companies had to buy gas for $39. reasonable. but now companies buy barrels for almost the same price as they used to (a few cents over $26), and yet, gas prices are still high. whats with that?

wow 30 bucks for 12 gallons.
I recall a time, a very short period of time, when gases were near a $1.00 a gallon. Now we got gas prices rocking well around double that.

its gov propaganda.

there is no real reason for the escalated gas prices..

they just want american citizens to support the invasion of iraq, which they want people to speculate is about oil.

yeah we are
iraq has the second largest oil reserve in the world. their resources are worth trillions of dollars. america relys heavily on imported oil. about 55% of all oil used in america has come from outside of its borders. without the iraq, we'll need to find another source...and prices will be even higher. Bush knows that iraq has a great deal of profitable resources...thats why he wants to go into iraq and take them just like his father did back in kuwait.

its been made clear that it would be infinitly cheaper to PURCHASE the oil even at high prices then to take it. and besides, we only get about 4% of our oil from iraq. US gets it from outside or borders, but not mainly from iraq
