How do you get rid of blackheads??

Other than going to the doctor, what are other ways of getting rid of blackheads?

Any lotions, cleansers I can buy at kmart?

the best way is to use exfoliating scrub, which can be found in the form of a cleanser, or this spongelike scrub... it's sorta hard but you're supposed to wet it and rub it on your face while cleansing it with normal facial cleanser

For blackheads, daily deep pore cleansing is essential. First use a medicated soap or cleanser, rinsing well with water. Then use cleansing grains. Cleansing grains mixed with a rose-based skin tonic has been very effective. The mixture is to be rubbed gently on the face or on the areas with blackheads. Rinse off after two or three minutes. This helps to dislodge and discourage blackheads.

Go to your pharmacy and ask for a cleanser and toner that contain salicylic acid, which loosens blackheads. You should be able to purchase products over the counter. If this doesn't help, a dermatologist can prescribe retinoids that are even more effective in unblocking pores. Remember, never try to remove your own blackheads by squeezing them. You may cause them to become inflamed and a pimple will develop.

on a sidenote, i saw a guy wrap duct tape around his leg and then rip it off. an interesting form of waxing. *shudder* maybe you can get creative with that duct tape

there's pore cleansers from biore that you can use, they pull out the blackheads...there's also a kind of blackhead remover, i'm not sure how you use it...you can just find it at a drug store or something. looks kinda weird ;D

and then yeah blackhead astringents and stuff...

Um....have a facial every once in awhile....I have one once a month and it does wonders.....

If u want a do-it-yourself job, invest in a really good facial cleanser, an exfoliating scrub, a non-alcohol toner and a really good moisturizer. (even if u have oily skin, u have to moisturize)

some brands I prefer is Almay and St. Ives but u have to make sure u try the brands 1st (less u may have an allergic reaction to them)
