got a question!
just outta curiousity.... how does the school system in the US work? like is there year 12 as the final year for high school? (thats in australia where i am from...) i assume most of you are from there...
i know this is really a st00pid question.. just wanted to know

i'm sure there are variations, but over here it's:
*before maybe* young 5's or some earlier program
1) pre-school
2) kindergarten
3) elementary (grades 1-4, 5, 6?, it varies i'm sure)
4) middle school (grades 5 or 6 to about grade 8 or 9)
5) high school (grade 9 or 10 to grade 12 (yes, senior year and last))
Some schools go from k-8, and then there are the other ones i probably don't know about. The exact duration of time through each school tends to reside within those numbers i think, though there must be exceptions. It's not all one set system exactly.
