one-way crush

this isn't a real valid poem, but it's my first written outside of a school assignment. it's called: One-Way Crush. and I wrote it because I have a crush on this one guy, but the promises I made to myself before keep me from even starting a conversation with him. I'm just hoping it's just a phase - a Korean "jjak-sarang".
Here it is:

one-way crush

getting hooked by your look
gazing secretly from the left
hoping the class would never end
wishing you'd talk to me
waiting for someone to crack a joke
hoping you would turn and smile
mattering never to whom or what
seeing you happy is all I want
pondering if they were petty tries
feeling anxious when you tried to say HI
apologizing now: sorry I always cut our breaks short
taking a small step is what I'm afraid of
regretting now: we could've become best of friends
finding myself attracted to you
dreaming how it could have been, even as a friend of yours
thinking now: but only stupid memories, doubts, and worries ascend
defending now: no, it's not you, these just haunt days on end

question. will I go the wrong path if I say HI?
just remembered my Nile long priorities
now I'm hoping this is just an empty phase
last day is approaching
question. will I ever see you again?
ym says relationships are a two-way thing
find myself repelling in a helpless rush
writing this and ending this one-way crush.

awww.... that's cute... nice poem too... i don't write poems except for school assignments... for one thing my english teacher had spent way too much time on them.

this really should be in the creative writing forum....

but either way it's a really nice poem :thumbup:

wait... I've thought about the title of this poem... I realized it after discussing redundancy with some people. One-Way Crush. Isn't that redundant? Or is it valid, as in - smelly fart, lonely hermit, a teacher teaches, etc...? I don't know... I guess I just titled it that because of the last couple of lines of the poem. Oh well.
By the way, I got over him - good thing I didn't confess to him when I was crushing him.
