ah i forgot about the vowel sound. i was just talking about how to pronounce the x.

so the vowel sound is -ie, and it is kind of a fast ee-eh sound, kind of like xyea hxyeah but not elongated at all, short.

can you learn anything from those fortune cookies? i usually don't read the back of the paper, but they have chinese translations right?

they usually have some simple saying or greeting on the back, like good luck or hello or something. I do not think they have translations of the respective fortunes on their backside.

Xie xie

Hmm...the way I learned "xie xie" was to think of
she+yeah...but without force in the"sh" (like syeah syeah). ^_^
