Algebra 2- I need help really bad!!!!

(Solving Inequalities)

Please someone help me with these.

1.) 9x - 11 > 4x + 12

2.) 5x/8 - 3/4 < 1/5

3.) 4x-3/2 (this is 4x - 3 over 2) Greater than or equal too -1.9

Thanx

if the inequality sign if throwing you off, pretend it is an equal sign. literally right in equals if you cannot get passed just the sign. But, there are some rules that go with it (common sense though, so not big deal), so you cannot just replace it with an equal sign adn then put in the inequality

9x - 11 > 4x + 12

5x > 23 ; subtract 4x, add 11 to both sides

x > 23/5 ; divide both sides by 5

the rest are done the same. If you do not know when to flip the sign, just make a true inequality, like:

2 < 3

and do teh same operation on that, like if you multiply by -1, you get...

-2 < -3

which is not true, so you have to flip the sign.

Basically,
you solve by subtracting or adding so you find the x.
Right? I take it U know...
Then figure out
< is the first x is LESS than
or
> is the first is GREATER than whatever comes after the sign.
cinchy!
