I admired you from afar

Being where you always are

But a thought ran across my mind

I knew you could never be mine



Even still I watched you smile

My heart turning cold and defiled

But when I saw your crystal eyes

It was then I realized



I’d love you forever until I die

This I’m telling you is not a lie

So I watched you now with wonder and passion

Walking slowly in a heavenly fashion



For many nights I’ve cried to sleep

Knowing your heart I couldn’t keep

But it was then I finally knew
