Impossible to Achieve

Things that are good ideas, but impossible to achieve:

1. Perfect Communism
2. World Peace

These are my opinions. Your thoughts and opinions wanted.

Edit:

3. Unselfish Good Deed

Edit:

1. Marx's Communism

yeah u agree nothing can be "perfect" in everyones eyes. perfect is in the eye of the beholder.

i happen to think that all of those are acheivable, maybe with an exception to world peace as when we talk about "world" peace we refer to only those politically recognized hmm....anyway maybe hard, but certainly not impossible.

i'm talking about the first post, not the others.

i think perfect communism could be achieved in a very small community (tribal groups in the Americas, Africa, and probably elsewhere did it).

i don't know if world peace can be accomplished...but if it is, i won't be alive to see it

unselfish good deed? i see that all the time. check out jusun's thread "random" in experience.

Marx's communism - i highly doubt. people are willing to share, like in regular communism, but i don't think they'll go as far as to give up all claims to private property

for communism to be perfect, everyone would need to be perfect. with one dictatorship, we would only need one perfect person.

communism:

"A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and , a single, often authoritarian party holds power claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people."

From my knowledge, communism has been run by dictators in the past.

It irritates me when people say communism when they refer to socialism.

Edit: Grammar

i was about to say something about that. Marx's "communism" isn't communism despite his writing called the "communist manifesto", it's a form of socialism. It's called the communist manifesto because he describes the faults of it and weighs it against socialism and such while comparing the history of it. Hence, "a spectre is haunting europe", and that spectre is communism or whatever. People toss aroudn the phrase "communism is too idealistic" or whatever the variant as if it's some sort of cliche and never give any thought to it actually being practical in real life. Think for yourself before you announce other's ideals as your own.

This isn't meant bad to anyone...but do you people even nkow anything about marx at all? i don't see how you can just brush his ideals aside if you don't know what they are...i'm not trying to offend anyone, but it doesn't seem like it.
