Basic Cooledit pro 2 tutorial

for starters, click the button that i boxed around in red.

After doing so, this should come up.



Sometimes, you might already start with that there, in that case, do not press the button, and if you did, press it again for it to come back.

next, you will want to insert your beat. (view the next image)

find your beat and load it in



then a box should appear, wait for it to load







then that waveform should appear. that should be your beat. next, as shown above, click on the "r", and then click on the record button to start recording. spit yo shit.

after your done recording, press the stop button, and that waveform should be under your beat waveform (as shown above)





(refer to image above) now double click on your recorded waveform(the 2nd one you just recorded) and click on the "effects" tab on your left.

(some CEPs are set up differently, so yours might be different from this one) do some basic editing by going to niose reduction, then performing the "hiss reduction" and "click/pop eliminator" should do alot.






after your finished editing(you might want to mess around with a demo track that u dont need to see what everything does and such), click on the button that has been boxed in red. (refer to image above)





now go to edit, mixdown to file, and all waves to make it into one track. when you exit, save the "mixdown" file to save the track, and save anything else u want.
