Tired

Yes....my previous school gave us so much work! We didn't even had time to sleep at home! So we had to sleep in our classes!

My entire class

This is a pic of my entire class.

Posted by PsychoSnowman on 03-31-2005 07:34 PM:

please, the first time there was a necessity for me to not sleep due to an overabundance of work was in college. i do not see it possible for secondary education and below to supply anything requiring anything worth talking about.

AP/IB classes sometimes, but if i stayed on top of my game as i should have i could have avoided all sleepless nights.

The reason why you cannot see it possible is because you are BLIND. The system of education here is FAR different from any other place. The school I'm attending has the most inconvenient curriculum! For example, there are 4 choices for students entering their third year here at Sacred Heart College (SHC): business, general studies, technical, and science. I really wanted to do science, but take a look at their science outline:

Math
English
Information Technology
Religion
BIOLOGY!
CHEMISTRY!
PHYSICS!

There are a few others than I can't remember (since I did not choose to do the sciences).

Can you imagine taking all THREE sciences in ONE year? Teachers here are FAMOUS for loading students with work. It doesn't matter how smart you are. If you take sciences here at SHC there will always be nights where you don't sleep. The curriculum is all screwed up. And there's nothing that I can do about it.

This is how it SHOULD be:

first year: Biology
second year: Chemistry
third year physics!

You don't cram all three sciences in ONE year!

Oh and about the "sleeping in class" due to work overload, I just said that so that it could go with the picture. That's not the school I'm attending currently. Now at SHC if you want to stay on top of things you loose a lot of sleep!

i was talking about high school, but you reply with talk about college.

Anyway, imagine taking three sciences in one semester? actually, you said year, but obviously i know what that is like. i am double majoring in Math and Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences.

My schedule for next year is as follows:

1) Physics390 - Modern Physics
2) Math475 - Elementary Number Theory
3) Biochem415 - Introduction to Biochemistry
4) NERS250 - Intro to nuclear physics
5) Asianlan272 - 2nd year Urdu

Actually i think all science related majors know what that is like. Furthermore, what are you talking about, the 1st semester sciences? That's as easy as they get, and if you are speaking of non-calculus based physics (mechanics or electricity and magnetism), inorganic chem, or elementary biology,... give me a break.

I have crediblity, i see no reason why you dispute it.

Also, SHC?...i'm sure those catholic schools are really rigorous compared to other schools. In fact, i wouldn't be surprised if SHC was the hardest college in the world, from the way you exagerrate. i have taken classes at 3 colleges, so i think i have a fair assessment of what is hard, and what is not. And, am thus able to judge more accurately what other colleges are like than someone who has only been to one.

you want to do...science? What a vague field. But, of course there will always be nights you will not sleep, it's college, i was saying high school was a joke, not college..

I go to University of Michigan if you are curious. Ranked 2nd in the nation for their nuclear engineering program. i think, maybe, you might want to reconsider whether or not your SHC is so impossible. Rank really does matter in terms of how much is demanded from the students.

Sure! It's just that the computers here at SHC are EXTREMELY slow!!!!!!!!! I'm not exagerating! Have you ever tried getting into "yahoo" and it took more than 40 minutes just to get there? Yeah, that's how SLOW they are!
