Big Mama: Like The Bible

Big Mama Is REAL! They are a new group of four ladies with extremely developed voices. They're voices are very different from one another but when combined, they're harmony blows you away. Their use of great dynamics only makes them sound better. As an addition to show how great their talent is, in this album, they've picked a song to sing on their own. Their first album, "Like The Bible", is full of ballads, gospel, jazz, and R&B songs. A recommended!

Overall rate (1-worst--5-best):

#1. Guh Boo- Very jammy. They use good dynamics and harmony in this piece. Probably not one of the better songs in this album. But, you get a taste of their talent.

#2. Break Away- This song is their title track. I'd say it's one of the best songs on this album. A mix of jazz and R&B. Yet, another song with great dynamics and their harmony is excellent!

#3. Hon Jut Marl- Also one of the best songs in this album. It's a very touching ballad and it catches your attention as soon as the song starts. I fell in love with this song. It's very dramatic and pulls you into a sad yet, hopeful mood.

#4. His Eye Is On The Sparrow- This song is sung in English. Very gospel. A very hopeful song, also. Probably not one of the best songs. Good harmony.

#5. Cheh Nyum- Lee Young Hyun sings this ballad. This song is also good. It reminds me of Korean Romance movies. Young Hyun's voice is very powerful in this song.

#6. Je Ne Veus Pas- Jazzy! Shin Yun Ah sings this French song. It's a very settling song. It reminds me of a dancing couple, or sitting on a patio at a French restaurant, sipping coffee. Not a very good song, in my opinion.

#7. Nae Ahn Eh Nuh- Lee Ji Young sings this ballad. Her voice is also very beautiful and strong. If you like very sad ballads with a sax and piano playing in the background, you'll like this song. Another good song in the album.

#8. Sadness- Sung by Park Min Hae. Her voice reminds me of Park Ji Yoon's for some reason. Another pleasant ballad. She uses good dynamics.

#9. Wine- After all the slow ballads in a row, I think we all can settle for something with a faster beat. "Wine" is another one of my favorites in this album. Very R&B. It also features Hwee Sung rapping. His voice is very sexy in this song!^^ Big Mama and Hwee Sung's voices mix very well. A must hear!!!

#10. Deeper Than Blue- Another Jazz song. This song is a little more intense. Also good.

#11. Kkum- A good gospel ballad with great dynamics and harmony. What else can I say? The harmony makes it a good song!

#12. Ray's Rock House- They end their album with a totally different song style. This song is sung in English and it reminds me of the song "All That Jazz". Again, good dynamics and harmony. They go all out in what they have to show as talent.

Overall, if you like jazz and R&B, I recommend you get this album. You won't be disappointed. These songs are like Kang Ta's songs, so if you liked his songs, you'll like these!

I also like the group Big Mama...Their album was cool and they have nice voices...although I'm not extremely keen on the name "Big Mama"...it kinda reminds me of somebody's ol' granmaw
