i hate it T.T i was trying to be a safe driver cause alameda police everywhere so this guy started tail gattin me and turning on his high beams and honking so i slammed on the breaks and flipped him off then he cut me off so i went on the opposite lane then cut him off and it went on until he turned fucking asshole made me break the rule but real good thing is no police -_-; *shakes fist*

I know a girl who got a ticket for tailgaiting a cop... why she would do THAT is beyond my comprehension.

When I get annoying tailgaters (how the hell do you spell that) Yea well at stop lights if they still stop really close to me ... I drive up and then back up as far as I can... repeatedly (like back up .. scoot up... back up further....scoot up)... until they get the hint. That or a flash my breaks lights like crazy.

Yea probably not the smartest thing to do (the first one) but they stay far away after I do that.

If someone particularly pisses me off I just get behind them... tailgate.... and flash my brights.

When people change lanes in front of me without signaling (big pet peeve of mine)... I honk for hella long... THE SIGNALS ARE THERE FOR A REASON PEOPLE!!!!

you should get that retard's badge taken away. Its one thing to tailgate. Its another to actually hit someone. And its a whole other level if you're a police officer and you do that.

I tried tailgating [?] yesterday because slow drivers are always in the fast lane. I hate it...so I drove up real close to them...but I scared myself because that guy [or girl] was going too slow >.< never doing THAT again. but yea...only reason I have to tailgate is if the driver is going real slow in the fast lane. I don't understand WHY they even bother since they're probably going to get cut off by either myself...or some other impatient driver. don't they get it?!

LOL i don't tail gate i just change lanes and just get in front of them :D other people just tailgate and flash their high beams makes me wanna punch them in the face

isn't it like if you're less than two seconds behind the person?

but two seconds is a lot..I'm usually unconsciously 1 second or so...if I gotta get in front(which I usually like to be :D) I just change lanes and pass. No need to waste my time tailing.

the correct distance to keep between yourself and the car ahead is three seconds. so, i guess anything closer than that would be considered tailgating.
