French seems to be the most romantic...

I think Korean and Japanese sound good too, but they aren't "romantic".

Posted by eddiee on 01-30-2003 03:22 AM:

i think that slang is the most romantic

or for english olde school english ya know?

Posted by roentgen on 02-02-2003 09:02 PM:

I'll admit (reluctantly) that French sounds romantic
I think that Korean is a very beautiful language as well...it'd be romantic when spoken by "the most important someone" you know?
Any language would sound le mieux when the person you adore the most so much as whispers it.

Posted by LooKatClara on 02-06-2003 11:58 PM:

latin isnt really a romantic language...it's romance language...hehehehe...(rome... get it... ) huk but it does sound really cool. spanish and italian and portugese are cool like that too, and they're also romance languages. but french is really romantic sounding to me ^^

Well, I do admit that French and Italian and so on, sound very romantic, but to me, Latin really sounds dramatic. I think if I spoke some Latin, I can get away with being really smooth. I don't know though, I've not heard all of Latin, but yeah, I can understand why some people don't think it sounds smooth or some people might,...I, for one, am one who adores the forgotten language.

I think most people would agree that French is the most Romantic.

Personally, I prefer latin. What a beautiful language.
English is ugly rambling compared to latin.

i take AP Latin. Speaking latin fluently is impossible unless you are a heavy scholar.

btw. have any of you latin advocates heard anyone reciting poems with scansion? gotta hate the rolling Rs.
It is dramatic yes, i would agree, but the question is "what is the most romantic language," not "what is the most dramatic."
