Other Imperialists

I always think it'd be interesting if another nation was as proactive in world events as the US, and was as imperialist or something. Like if Russia would be trying to extend it's policiees through the UN and then just decide to go and do it without an approval like the US does. If they decide to go and act unilaterally time after time trying to attain a common good they saw fit throughout other nations. If that would create some sort of imperalist race, or...Furthermore, it'd be interesting what would happen when the common good they are trying to attain is in confliction with the beliefs of another hegemon like the US or something. I wonder what would incur...ah, a bi/tri/poly polar world,...hmmm, possibly wars over decisions,...a war over a war with iraq. Probably not, but a definite increase in diplomacy between both nations.
