Posted by annabanana on 06-05-2002 04:14 AM:

a synonym? i dunno.

Posted by micron on 06-06-2002 04:23 AM:

yea..
eh, they should have some type of reverse look-up from words in the dictionary.

Posted by youl on 06-06-2002 05:01 AM:

Lol.. there is. It's an antonym. Unless I'm mistaken.

Posted by micron on 06-06-2002 05:29 AM:

no.
an antonym is a word with the opposite meaning. what i mean is, looking up the phrase 'memory hole' and the dictionary/thesaurus listing all the words associated to that phrase.

hmm, i don't remember what that word was either. my memory isn't what it used to be ever since i joined the hockey team.

amnesia?

quote:
Partial or total loss of memory, usually resulting from shock, psychological disturbance, brain injury, or illness.

or in computer terms
quote:
Memory Hole

Some (unusual) expansion cards require access to particular memory addresses in order to function properly. This parameter lets you set aside the appropriate area of memory for these cards. The typical memory areas that can be set aside are "512-640KB" (the upper 128K of conventional memory) and "15-16MB".

This setting should be disabled unless you have a card that you know requires this setting. The default is normally "Disabled".

rite rite... it's synonym...

antonym is actually the opposite of synonym...

synonym means : another word that means the same thing

antonym: another word that means the opposite

like...

happy: glad, joyful
are like synonyms...

happy: sad, glum
are like antonyms...
