Well... Win XP sp1's released to the public now...

Ummm..... any body installed it with a pirated version of XP?

nope... i'm scared that microsoft will prevent me from getting to my computer with the sp1.

I did change the cd-key with some kinda changer with a list of cd-keys... i'm not gonna try installing it without other people's testimonies.

dont worry. i've read about it and all sp1 does if you have a bootleg product key is going to prevent you from getting the windows updates. so you cant get future service packs and other files.

You're right. Except, i erased my partition using FDisk, then reInstalled windows, then i went to the windows update feature and gave me the message that i must be using a windows OS system.

Also, im using BlackIce defender and somehow , i got Pings from microsoft.com

Yeah... i know that it won't block the system... but did anyone with a bootleg version try installing it with a different cd-key? Cause I don't want to prevent myself from getting those updates and like I said before, I changed my cd-key with some kinda cd-key changer with a bunch of different keys so i wanna know if this cd key changer really works...
