exit exam..

dayam now gotta take exit exam to graduate high skoo? aww.. da seniors are lucky.. hmm i took exit exam today and i got 2 more dayz.. hope i pass.. so much test now adayz goshness...

exit exams are tests that students hav to take in order to graduate. most students take them sophomore year. and i thot it was national...but i guess not. just cali -__-
neway, you don't even hav to read the passages they giv; u can tell wut the answers are jus by reading the questions. like, "what does the word platform mean in this sentence?" and then they giv the sentence. it's kinda like the sat 9, i think, except easier. after all, these tests were designed so the majority of high school students wud pass.

man... these things were useless! haha~ soooo easy! the math part was alot easier than i thought it would be~ what did u guys think about hte essays? i thought the first one about the norgay dood was totally pointless~

yeah, actually the full name of the exam is the California High School Exit Exam.
it was started two years ago because colleges in California had students who had a high school diploma but didn't even know basic math and basic English.
so there's a Math section and an English section.
yeah, i agree: it's 7th grade stuff.
so you get your first chance in sophomore year and then whatever section you don't pass, you have to take it again (and maybe again) until you pass it. if you can't pass both sections by graduation, then you don't get a diploma.
it's a waste of time for many but there are people who don't pass it. shows how there are many incompetant teachers out in public schools in california.
