what's a good p2p thing to dl?

ok i don't exactly know what "p2p" stands for but i know it's like a program to download files, right? well i used to use kazaa but it totally messed up my computer so i don't want to use it anymore. i want something with no spyware of course and that doesn't take up too much of my computer... any suggestions? i'm thinking about Gnucleus but i'm not too sure..

p2p = peer to peer
