SES breaks up

In a not-so shocking announcement on the 19th, SM Entertainment has made it public that SES's Kim Yoojin has called it quits and has decided not to re-sign with SM. They also revealed that this may not be the end of SES as they are in contract negotiations with the other members, Bada and Shoo.

Yoojin's decision appears to be fueled by the desire to pursue a solo career that combines singing and acting, something that being in SES would not give her time to do. She is currently in contract negotions with Park Yongha's managing company.

SM Entertainment's hints that SES will not end with Eugene leaving come as a shock to many people, though. There have been talks of finding a new member to replace Eugene in SES, a position that can't be easily filled.

The coming weeks will be telling on SES's future in SM, and what exactly Eugene plans to do.

Addendum:
The plans for SES is that Eugene will be joining her new management company soon and continue her acting career. Bada will release a solo album through SM, and Shoo will continue acting and hosting shows through SM.

SM Entertainment also released the following statement: "We won't be working together anymore, but we wish Yoojin the best of luck and well wishes in everything she wishes to do."
