National Student Leadership Conference

Did any of you get an invitation to go? I just got mine today. I was so excited, then I realized that today[March 1st] was the last day to pay the balance due for nearly all the available programs except the 'Mastering Leadership' program T: Shoot. I would've loved to have gone to the Business & Commerce program. So, have any of you been before? What was it like? I don't think I can go this year. I come from a low income family so yeah T: The fee for the Mastering Leadership program [the only one I can go because it's already March 1st] is $1099 and you have to provide your own transport to and from Washington D.C. where the conference will be. I guess I could call my dad up and ask him to send some money but it's not like he has that much money either and he'd be wasting his money [he lives in Sydney, Australia(where I'm originally from)] since the American dollar is nearly double the worth of the Australian dollar. Ahhhh, I'm so frustrated. T: T: Hopefully if I can't go to this year's conference, I can go to next year's [that's assuming I even get invited again x_x]. Eep... sorry for the long rant.

i've got it too, but no time and no money to go.

a senior from my school went last year and he says it was well worth everything.

two of my friends who are juniors right now are going this summer vacation. they're raising money through fundraisers and donations.

i guess if you are interested and can figure a way to get there, do it. at least you won't regret not having tried it out, right?
