Korean Music Getting Dull?

I think korean music is slowly getting worse. I mean all of you can agree that the old songs do sound alot better than the songs out today. I think the producers are trying to hard.

BTW
ever hear the korean singer Joanne sing?
Shes amazing.

Yeah...it's getting a little repetitive and stuff.
Joanne is good.
Not very pretty but has time to grow cause she's so damn young.

I think its gettting played like crazy. It started from about when HOT Broke up. ( i'm not saying its cuz of them, just coincidence)
Alot of singer got really played out like J and kim hyun jung.
Now its on the climax of whackness.

Position's drop is whack too..

HELL YEAH

i stopped buying CDs.
mp3 them and burn my own mix..

but i rarely do this now..
why?
not much good songs out lately

since every kcufing songs are pop pop pop pop pop
there's a lack of alternatives, hiphop, and all that shizay

so i kinda stopped listening a bit.
i just groove with my 90's rhythm..

deux seotaiji u kno u kno? well let's put it this way - nothing over i think mid 98.

after the mid 98 that's when fruitcakes began to play puppet shows on korean TVs..

it's all about american now
and u gotta admit, american music sounds more fresh than korean.

there's always something new in every genre of music. now that's what i call music baby..

if u defend this,

shut yo mouf willis!

truth hurts, doesn't it.

Well, I think that the producers put that into consideration.. Like, SM's stuff is always good to listen to whenever. But stuff like kPop or Q.O.Q.'s "Dduh-nah'gara..." is like temporary... FinKL's another prime example. Korea is SOOO~~ fast with music and latest fashion trends...

^^

That is true... There aren't many good songs in the k-pop world right now...

well.. but then you shoudl give them some credit for trying to make a new beat song (altho they arent successful at it right now) cause theres now maybe 1283728397 songs out there (yea, im kinda exagerating but..) and trying to make a completely new different beat IS kinda difficult..
and, yea, its like that all around the world

IMO it's too dominated by pop stuff.

there has to be some really good outcast band out there that everybody laughs at becuz they play rock or something. i don't know. i'm lookin for a revolutionary artist to come around and change some thigns around.

Posted by annabanana on 05-07-2002 02:27 PM:

yeah, i know. i think the euro-techno trend is here in korea with such song styles like OoYun, SES's "U" and Boa "no.1." plus, i like the old "TOP," "All Your Dreams" type Shinhwa songs better than all this new pop, which is okay.

yea..i agree. all da producers or wutever are only lOoking fOr people who look gOod so the fans out dere will buy da albums..
most of them cant sing all day well anyway..

personally..i think dere should be more artists like jang nara..i think shes not pretty..but she sings very well.. :satisfy:

okay (sorry finkl unni deul!) didn't they get like.... picked off the streets..... for their looks?

i mean.... even groups that are supposed to be "rock" are basically pop (aka..... YIIK, moonchild, click-b (ahhh i know i know.. but i love them))

but how different can you get from this? you want it to be all freaky like "redrum" ?? it's kind of hard to be new and different...

i thinking tho.... asian music will become popular... and although it's similiar to american pop (VERY) it has it's own.... uniqueness....i dunno what it is.... but i think that asian music will be the different new thing in the music world.....

BTW..... rock is coming back~.....keke just saying...

yea.... but i think it's because..... she grew up in the US....... a lot of the singers in k-pop are now US born... and they have a different sound.... a different voice... kind of divaish quality... ya know how some of the krn girl's voices are all baby like (joanne's is too.. ... her voice isn't divaish)... but yea.. get what i'm saying? they have a better flow when they're singing in korean.... even though it may sound a little slurred...haha

GIVE "WHAT" CREDIT? That is no credit. You're missing out alot buddy. This is what POP music is like. Look at other genres. It's quite rare.

Look at rock. Hiphop. Trance. I barely see anyone saying plagiarism in any of these genres.

Pop. Houston we have a problem, sometimes.
