Stereotype in School.
--; I've recently began to feel that there's a lot of Stereotype on me. Like, for example.
-When we were discussing Sushi, my "friends" stared at me, and asked if I liked it. I said not really, and they gave me a really weird look.
-I have a kid in my study hall that always makes fun of me. He asks me for homework help, and when I don't know he says, "10 whiplashes for you from yo' daddy." or "I thought you were smart!"
And I can't really stand up again them. Like this quote.
"It takes a great deal stand up to your enemies, and it takes even a greater deal to stand up to your friends."
I just don't know what to do.

well telling him it does not bug you is not going to make any difference to him because he is not you.

at my school asians are the majority. they are stereotyped as being hardworking academic over achievers who play "wussy" sports like badminton and have no social life. people also think they can't drive.
non-asian people (white, black, hispanic) are stereotyped as being dumb and taking easy classes (non-honors and non-AP) and playing football.
all of these stereotypes are dumb, although they are founded in truth. they don't really bug me. i'm like a duck. they just slide off my back, so to speak, like water. if these people are your "friends" who are hurting your feelings, you should tell them to stop making references to stupid generalizations. i mean, if you had a black friend, you wouldn't automatically assume he/she likes fried chicken, right? so i suggest you tell them that.
i think there are stereotypes in my school but it doesnt really affect who we interact with eachother..im guessing that its not as segregated as other schools..ionno
Easier Said than Done.
Well, it's pretty hard for me stand up against people.
I'm not that "buff" nor strong.
I really don't have a say in what goes on.
I try to keep it inside and keep my 'tears' inside.

using that doesnt always help even though it might be the right thing to do .. a lot of people in school will just laugh and then kick his ass .. well, at least in my school thats how it works .. u dont really get anything in my school by just telling someone ur feelings, at least not most of the time .. so i say tell em to bak off and if they dont then become bruce lee and jeet kune do their asses .. then they wont mess with u nemore hah hah
James.. Can you stop picking fights and arguments? Go to the debates section or something.

Re: Stereotype in School.
Comebacks in case you want them.
Him: "10 whiplashes for you from yo' daddy."
You: "Sorry bro I don't go that way."
_____________________________
Him: "I thought you were smart!"
You: "You used to be right"
_____________________________
And now:
-When we were discussing Sushi, my "friends" stared at me, and asked if I liked it. I said not really, and they gave me a really weird look.
You: "Sorry bro I don't go that way."
Or
You: "Do you need a laxative?"

Now if you don't want to use those combacks you could just tell them you feel uncomfortable when they steriotype you.
