Some people at our school did that, there were a bunch of people who did it to cop out and not do work in class.

It's wrong to persecute homosexuals but I don't like people who call me a bigot just because I'm straight.

A girl handed me a paper with info of this on it. Perhaps I was wrong but I got a vibe that suggested "You're a bigot unless you do this." I don't need to participate in such an act to prove I am not a bigot.

yea...I know what you mean.

people are so fucking stupid to think that if I don't outwardly support something I'm against it.

Personally I am against the ACT of homosexuality. but I've got no beef with the people. I won't hold it against the person....

you say "that's not possible"..but it IS. it's like with smoking. one of my best friends smokes and stuff and I think it's one of the most disgusting things ever...but he's still one of my best friends and I dont' hold it against him.

so my points....1) just cause don't like the things you do doesn't mean I dont' like you and 2) don't think I'm against you if I dont' support your cause and finally 3) initial D 4th stage RULES(I bet you didn't get THIS one..heh)

the day of silence is to show how gay/lesbians/bis/trancegenders have 2 stay quiet due to their embarassment and fear

yeah i thought it was stupid for people just 2 get out of class but i guess i'm stupid for making of them while some of them r doing a very respectful thing, oh and other people just signed up and just started talking like it didn't mean a think, i think i would have done it if i knew about it before

they didn't announce it at school so they're re-doing it. kinda pointless for doing it a couple days late, but still effective i guess...

honestly, if I knew about Day of Silence earlier, I would have participated. I actually thought about celebrating it a day late, now that I know what it is.

I thought the day of silence was a day that was a causation of the LBGT community being silenced everyday of their life by society. And, due to their silencing, a protest was made called the day of silence where they are physically silent for the entire day to show people directly how many people are silenced and affected by societal oppression.

Like a turn the other cheek sort of deal in some ways.
