Corea and Korea

i heard this question in the car section and i figure i bring it up
here

i heard this through a friend.. which could be total bullshit.. but it was originally spelled COREA with C .. then when japan had control of korea they respelled it with a K because C comes before J in the alphabet.. sounds petty huh.. whatever

seems like everywhere else in this world spells korea with a C .. COREA... looks weird as hell but i guess its better than koria .. sounds like a cell phone company..

well its better that its spelt with a K
cause if it was a C..

if the japan thing is right, wouldn't they just make it korea simply because (i don't think) there is not a C in the japanese alphabet, and the equivalent is a k?

well i heard about the thing where the japanese changed it too. it sounds believeable because a lot of other countries spell it with a C.. like in french and spanish it's spelled with a C.

well the only reason i'm spelling it with a C is because some fortune teller in corea said the only way we'll place is to spell it with a C. yea that sounds like an even more stupid story..lol but i'm spelling it with a C... maybe i'll just go around saying... DAE HAN MIN GOOK...lol
