MJ Cole is dead. He's gone too comerical. What you wanna be listening to is the UK underground garage, or at least what is still left if it after all this crap shit commercialising of UK Garage.

What you wanna be listening to is the likes of Dea Project, Sunship, 10°, Marvel & Eli, DJ Dee Kine-Pixie, Chunky, Tee Bone, Kie & Sparks or DYNK just to name a few underground UK Garage artists.

My two piece, Garage is about a main bassline melody which is very catchy and simple. 2-Step is just another aspect of garage, u dont need a 2-Step beat just to make a garage track but it's easlier to do one with it. Another thing is that most UK garage tracks use multi-timbre snares. That's one thing you might wanna pick up on as well.

Most of you Americans over there will never hear the likes of the UK underground garage tracks that are released here, like No Scrubs - DYNK remix, or Hero - Dea Project. Got a load of UK underground tracks if u wanna run them.

Here's a few tester tracks I did.
http://www.pham.freeserve.co.uk/Mus...%20Version).mp3
http://www.pham.freeserve.co.uk/Mus...ge%20Tester.mp3

Here's a few that my friend did.
http://www.pham.freeserve.co.uk/Mus...-%20denzie_.mp3
http://www.pham.freeserve.co.uk/Mus...tty%20sexy_.mp3

Nice remix though, but I doubt it you can really label it as a 2-Step track.

- Thanks for the input, Ying-One.
- it's better to learn from someone who's had the experience.
- sigh.. today, most of these Americans are stubborn and stick to very few genres; mainly Urban Hip Hop, Pop, and Alternative.
- but i concentrate mostly on either Dance or slow music; from Trance, freestyle, ambient to chillout trance, r&b, slow jams, and of course i can't forget the Asian music scene..
- Garage has just been a new thing to me even though i've heard some years before but assumed it was Freestyle instead.
- i'm thinking of renaming this remix to "RS Trax 2-Step Influence Remix".. or if anyone have any ideas.

- and those are some nice tracks there; i liked your friend's first track.

- by the way, i looked over these compilations at ministryofsound record store and i was wondering if you could recommend me any of their Garage compilations.
