okay, i'm stuck cause i asked this dude to homecoming and he said okay. but i don't know if he knows that i kinda like him or if he thinks we're just going as a friend kinda thing.
He's friggin' quiet and reserved too.
uh...i guess i'm just asking how to tell/ask him about going as friends and whatnot. and...yeah..that's it.

if his friendship is REALLY important to you i'd advise you not to jeopordize it unless you know he reciprocates your feelings...

you can never take back that WEIRD feeling you get when your best friend (best GUY friend.... or girl if you are a guy) tells them they like you.... it's just.... weird... unless you like them back


if you're not sure.... just go as friends and see what he does at tge dance.... it never hurts to just go as friends...

nah, not necessarily. Depends on the people involved. This girl told me she liked me, and we went out like once cause she wanted to, but there isn't any weird feeling at all between us. It's cool, really. Just cause some people can't move on as if it's not a big deal, doesn't mean everyone can't. I know you didn't say that susan, but i'm just saying. Some people really need to just act cool about some things i think, the awkwardness doesn't have to be there.

ask him, no regrets. What's the worst that could happen if he says no, and if he does and things are awkward, perhaps its better that way, because he's not for you.
don't be really really obvious at first you like him, but be subtle about it, if he doesn't pick up, then be a bit more obvious. good luck, and hope you find what you need to do.

two things i'd say for this is :

1) let the guy come to you is a good general rule, but some guys, even if they seem intelligent, are real dumb dumbs when it comes to subtle hints -

2) you're young, i assume - be young and have fun, guys come and go all the time, just make sure YOU'RE happy - and do what's necessary to make that happen. like someone else said, no regrets - you live and you learn, just MAKE SURE YOU'RE HAPPY!

if you guys were friends in the first place before you asked him... he probably just thinks you guys are going as friends.

last year, my guy friend asked me to homecoming because he didn't have a date and neither did i.. so we just went as friends. when it comes time for homecoming dates.. it gets really confusing. you dunno if you're going out or just a date. so don't get confused yourself!

if you guys are about the same age and are close friends you should go with him...
there shouldn't be anything too serious about that since it is just high school but i wouldn't hurt his feelings later on or give him a wrong idea since it is such a big dance event
