hmm. this is a really good idea. sorry i didnt respond any sooner.

anyways, wisconsin is quite far from where i live, but i might try to convince some friends to go there anyhow. im not too sure if theyre up to it, but it might be worth a try. i live in rockland, new york, so if enough friends go, we might be able to pick up others who dont have a ride around this area.

and for those who live in california, you guys might as well plan your own jsl.com party somewhere, so that all of you living in the west coast might have a chance of at least meeting people around your area.

and about the alcohol and drugs, im not sure im up to that. first, i guess its because im not a drinker/druggie myself. and second, i dont want to take responsiblity if anything goes wrong. i dont want some angry parent blaming me, since ill be the most likely and logical target if something bad happens. and on top of that, when another asian forum went ahead for a get-together, they ended up loitering infront of a pcbang smoking pot. not only do i think its morally wrong (just me, maybe) but id like to remind all of you that we do have some young people here who might want to attend. and id like the get-together to accomidate everyone, not just one social clique.

And I never thought about alcohol either... I could get majorly busted...And besides, we don't have any druggies in here... do we?

I'm for real, if I can get more people who are interested in coming... I'll PM you or something Jusun... Because I really wanna do this...

korean parents are like that. just blame the most obvious and easiest target, which in this case will probably be me. not only will it be easier for them (since im korean) but since you say its going to be a jsl.com party.

The permission slips! thats how you can convince your parents to let you go. It'll give it the feeling of a supervised environment. When you ask your parents, just print out a copy of the permission slip. (Don't worry i'll make it, so you can be sure it's ok)

About the kidnapper thing, Maybe you could set up your traveling group this way: go with ppl you know, And those ppl would be going with ppl they know, and so fourth so there are no kidnappers. (hey seon ho and peter, i'll go w/u guys )

Ok, I've found this permission slip that my friend wrote when a whole bunch of ppl lost the origional permission slip for a field trip.
We'll just change some stuff to make it for this party.

Dear parents, guardians, amphibians:

Your child will be attending a field trip during school. We're not exactly sure where we're going, but we ask you to supply your child with all necissary supplies. There will not be any teachers. Instead there will be large birds of prey that come once a day for feeding. If you would like to equip your child with a high powered hunting rifle, that is acceptible. Valor owns your ass. AHH Sushi Hamburger!!!!!
