anyways, personally, i would prefer european cars anyday when opposed to korean or even japaneese cars. but that doesnt make me any more european than you, HyundaiWRC. its just personal preference and belief that european cars are superior, and that has nothing to do with my identity and country. im still as much korean and have as much korean pride as you. i think its wrong to have a blind eye towards other countries products just because i am not from that country. im sure when it comes to computer memory and lcd monitors, many people, including americans, will say that korean products are superior compared to the world market. still, that doesnt make them any more korean than the next foreign guy, but rather would make them have the eye and appreciation for the best products without prejudice.

but if you mean, buying korean products to help out the korean economy, then it's well said and i would understand. but isnt most koreans like that anyhow? all my household electronics are from samsung. and i like to buy korean products, even when i realize they may be inferior (which again, has nothing to do with my pride for my country), just so that i may be a little help to the country, and in hopes that there are many like me.

to close, dont let what you buy (or talk about) define who you are.

My whole point of this debate is why koreans gotta dis Korean products.... I remember in this forums.. some 15 year old said "Why do Koreans copy the Japanese technology so much? " well if people research things like me... Koreans and Japanese sure technology with each other. Heck if Koreans help Japanese are some of there technology etc.. Miniture(sp?) MP3 Player? remember Dick Tracy and his Television watch?? guess what country invented that?

Who invented Anti-Knock engine combustion chamber ? Who invented the anti-knock sensor that helped vehicles in the world...

so many to list...

anyways. teach me on what you think without the negetives and stop being insulting like Mellow Yellow.

and about the site name/url, i did try to buy the domain kpop.com sometime ago when someone told me that it would soon expire (i think it was MellowYellow). but i bidded too low (i think it was 50$) and the domain was bought by the current holder.

that was several months ago though.

I read this somewhere in the Korean Hyundai Newsletter.


The Koreans make things and export them to America.. part of this reason is that so Korean-Americans can feel better about themselves and there homeland.

and the results??


barely any Koreans buy Korean things....like 1% (i'm part of that) likes Korean products because i feel proud of my motherland. this is something to think about... i feel that the Japanese are just laughing at the Koreans because the Korean-Americans prefer Japanese products.

Well I guess the reason why Korean-American (and Canadians) prefer Japanese products to Korean products is because the Japanese companies releases more of their advanced line to North America, while all I see coming from Korea is stuff that was released like 2 years ago in Korea.

Damn I don't know why Samsung or LG does this. My dad and I know right now Korea's producing some nice stuff right now, especially with the cell phones. I think Korea's like top 3 in that area?

In Korea, Korean products kick ass.
They release all their good stuff there and send the old or low quality stuff here which really sucks, but it's all business. The Korean companies are trying to target the low price, not very rich consumer market. It's evident with hyundai, kia, samsung... they all want to target this market. Dunno why but that's the way it is, and it's working like a charm for Korean companies.
