All things considered, the Bush administration HAS been playing the game of realpolitik pretty damn well. Protest is a trendy thing, and I'd bet anything those taking to the streets will eventually give up. Bushies have gotten this far, and no amount of unorganized, disunited protest will trip them up. Myself, I'm outraged at the Bush administration, I'm outraged as an under-aged liberal in an epoch of conservative domination... yet I'm also disappointed by the lack of leadership in the political left. It seems that when someone like Daschle actually makes an attempt to publicly 'dissent,' it ends up creating more public animosity towards the Democrats.

no, the point is that conventional force is more practical...that didn't mean that we should jsut use the MOAB...pretending like that's our only weapon is just naive, .....so we'd use nukes if we didn't have that? It's nothing about what's new and what's old...it's all about pragmatic and smart decisions, and nuclear weaponry is not one of them. MOAB or no MOAB, we wouldn't use nuclear weapons.
