no no, you still read it the wrong way. NO ONE should be allowed to drive if we were to hold such standards to affecting the well being of others, not through accidents but trhough their emission of carbon monoxide and pollution and their effectual destroying of the o-zone layer and the like.

Like you said: "smoking i am so against. the person does not just kill themselves but people around them. might as well put a gun to their head and ask them if u want to just make it quicker."

Same goes for anything that kills those around them. You are just picking and choosing, why is smoking so significant?

We might as well get rid of most appliances as well then.
