electives

i know it's still feb, but counsellors have been around asking us to start thinking about the classes we're gonna take next school year (we have to decide by march). what are some interesting classes your school offers that you might take?

next year, i'm allowed 5 electives..
so i'm thinking of taking philosophy and psychology.
my friends from a different school took those, and said that i would enjoy it. um..thats all i knoe as of now ^-^

thaz cool. a lotta pplz are taking psych rite now and they like it. i wanted to, but i didn't hav nuff room in mai schedule. ah well.
mai skool isi offering anew class called forensics science this fall... that sounds realli intersting but i dunno if enuff people will sign up for it to become a class. eh, i kinda wanted to take ap stat cuz thaz the easiest ap class but i think i'm gonna take ap french instead. i dunno, if i don't make it onto the staff of mai school newspaper i can take psych or ap stat instead of journalism. choices choices...

oHh..i have journalism right now..and it sucks.
our teacher only assigns busy work..and we're required to take it if we want to be on the yearbook and/or newspaper staff next year.
anyway..isn't forensic science like..drug tests and stuff? maybe i'm getting it mixed up with something else..oh well..
oHh..i also want to take just regular forensics.
i'll probably take chem 2 ap next year..3 years of spanish is enough..so none of that next year.

yea journalism is required for us too if want to be on the school newspaper staff. the journalism teacher is cool tho ^^
yea forensics science is kinda like drug testing i guess...umm, but i thot it focused more on like blood testing (molecular bio) so like forensics scientists take blood samples or other things containing DNA from a crime scene and then analyze it and do DNA tests...i find it interesting i'm taking forensics rite now. it's intersting and fun. you meet a lot of people at the different tournaments and it helps your writing and speaking skills.

well er im graduating next year but last year as an elective i picked AP chem..yea how nerdy of me..well i regret that decision very much so i dropped it and my principal forced me to take an english or social studies elective ..i picked speech

AP chem?? i heard that's the hardest class offered at my school well, i imagine it's either that or AP physics. *shudder* i'm stickin to bio

that sucks~ i took journalism my freshie year and man~ it was the best class ever! the teacher was totally cool! we got to go out and interview students during class, rarely had hw and had a couple articles due here n there buh it was easy~

hm, i hav my schedule all set up for next yr. i hope i don't regret my choices :sad: does anyone here take ap us history? i debated with myself for the longest time but finally decided to take regular history cuz of the workload i've heard about. is it realli that bad?

lol well i failed math this year so next year im retaking that math class .. and for 2 electives i chose accounting 1 and 2 because if i take them they count as a math credit which will make up for the one i faile .. then 12th grade ill take 11th grade math and graduate without 12th grade math .. lolol .. sounds good to me. As for other electives, French IV, umm woodworking, internet, and umm basic foods i thinkK i picked lol

i didn't noe schools offered philosophy as a class. that's interesting i wish my school offered more languages tho; like some i noe of hav latin and german

yeah, schools offer a lot of different courses mmhmm even the great genre of islamic history. IB has courses in philosophy as well, i wonder what it'd be like.

i think it's only worth it if you take photo II (and maybe III) afterwards because you ahv to buy all that equioment and stuff, so you might as well use it for more than just one year. it does look like a fun class tho

how many electives can you take in 8th grade? they said one... well its one but then they said you can take advanced spanish, algebra, and aglebra support... but i still dont get it... they said only one but it you have algebra you can end up takin three... if i take algebra and advanced spanish can i take advanced strings? they said you can take advanced band but they didnt say anythin about stings >_< im very confused

probably marching. i feel bad letting my clarinet in the dust and i need to get my credits done. since due to the budget cut.. we're not allowed to have 7 classes unless if its marching =/
