soompi.com: in light of the recent scandal and the growing amount of negative opinions held by the public regarding s#arp's suh ji-young, shinyoung wacoal has cancelled its modeling contract with her. because it was only a verbal agreement, the company does not expect any legal problems to arise from the cancellation. also, problems could potentially arise with nasan, for which suh ji-young and actor boyfriend ryu shi-won are currently modeling its maypole brand. maypole has stated that under current circumstances, contract renewal is not very likely. more important than the renewal of the contract is the fall of the brand's image. the company is therefore seriously considering whether or not to seek breach-of-contract damages. suh ji-young and ryu shi-won currently have a 6-month contract to be print ad models for maypole's fall and winter clothing lines.

dhlove: song hye gyo recently changed her fashion to the fall girl style. having a cute/innocent look before, she now changed her looks to a stylish/sexy girl. what can we expect from song hye gyo next?

dhlove: son seung hoon and sung yuri were recruited to a fashion show held by andre kim. andre kim is often portrayed as the most famous designer in korea. the final scene of the fashion show was song seung hoon kissing sung yuri on the forehead. after the show, she was interviewed and she said she liked the kiss.

dhlove: model/actress son tae young went to france for a photo shoot for a new fashion concept. at the same time son tae young was in france, im eun kyung was in new york city doing a photo shoot. son tae young is currently starring in mbc drama "remember".

jusunlee: im sorry for the lack of updates lately. here's what to look forward to in the future.

soompi.com: mc's kim min jung and lee hwee jae will step down from kbs 'music bank' after broadcasting the last fall episode of the show, which will be for the third week of october. kim min jung (pictured left) is going into shooting for her new movie 'chun nyun hoo,' starring jung joon ho and kim hae ri. all shooting will take place in shanghai, which makes it impossible for kim min jung to continue her role as mc. lee hwee jae, who has been the male mc of the show for two and a half years is also stepping down, believing it is time for a change, for him and the show.

soompi.com: s#arp officially called it quits on october 14. the members are now individually discussing how they will fill up their contract time, which lasts until november 2003, with their company. arguably korea’s best known dance group, past mega-hits produced by s#arp are 'yes' (98 ), 'tell me tell me' (99), 'jal-dwets-suh' (00), 'sweety' (01), and 'nae ip-sool tta-teut-han co-pi-chyuh-reum...' (02).

soompi.com: finkl's lee hyo ri recently announced that she will be postponing her plans to study abroad in l.a. she had intended to attend a private academy for singing and dancing. instead, she has sped up her plans for debuting as a solo singer. she will release her first album in march 2003. finkl's main vocal ock ju hyun will debut with her solo album in may 2003, and the group album is planned to be released in july of next year. consequently, lee hyo ri has resumed her role as mc of kbs 'happy together' and 'time machine'.

dhlove: ok ju hyun, stated on section t.v that rumors about ok ju hyun and oh byung jin (5tion) dating is totally false. she said she met him a couple of times as friends and also hung with out with with her close friends but there is no spark between them. she said she felt weird meeting him even as friends as soon as this news came out but since they are not going out as boyfriends and girlfriends, they decided to stay close friends.

soompi.com: s#arp member suh ji-young is following the footsteps of actresses go so-young and kim nam-joo into the underwear modeling world. she has signed on as a cf model for shinyoung wacoal's new "solb" brand. contract terms include a 3-month 4000-man won ($31,700) guarantee, with a 1-uk 2000-man won (over $95,100) incentive if she sticks with them for a full year. the target for this new sporty brand is girls in their late teens to early 20's.

soompi.com: harisu was chosen as the model for the game "warcraft 3." however, hanbitsoft, the game's publisher for korea, received word from america's blizzard that it did not approve of harisu, a transgender, being used as a model. therefore, the release of the game album made with her has been postponed and the online promotion, to have begun on october 16, has been cancelled.

soompi.com: a catfight broke out between female members lee ji-hye (age 23) and suh ji-young (age 22) on october 10, resulting in the last-minute cancellation of their scheduled appearance on the live kbs "music bank" and replacement by wax. on october 11, a representative from the group's label stated that "we knew the 2 female members were not on good terms, but we didn't know it was this bad. we ourselves don't know exactly how to handle this situation.... of course we need to hear them out first, but if they hate each other so much as to cancel a live tv appearance, we probably need to consider the worst case scenario (group break-up) also." the company also plans to hear what the group's 2 male members, jang suk-hyun (age 22) and chris (age 21), have to say, as they are the ones who worked the most closely with the girls.

minwooz_babie: "there was a time when i truly loved shin dongyup (31) as a man," says group sugar's lead vocal ayumi who is 18. ayumi relvealed these feelings for shin on "ee yoo it neun bam" (kbs 2tv) which was aired on the 7th. she explained that her new emotions about her senior during this march and may, when the two were featured on the same television program where dongyup had to teach ayumi, who still finds it hard to speak korean, vocabulary for an upcoming 'test' with an opponent. however, the reason ayumi 'gave up' shin dongyup was not because of the age difference of 13 years - it was because of a few lines her manager had said, about shin liking girls with long legs. meanwhile, shin dongyup who heard the story of ayumi's love towards him replied, "i totally had no idea. we are thirteen years apart... even if i had known it is still impossible."

jusunlee: kim jong-suh is holding a month-long concert at daehangno live theater. from tuesday to friday each week, he will sing a selection of songs by overseas artists who influenced his own music. on the first week, it's the beatles, then led zeppelin, queen, and abba. each concert will consist of two parts - the first part of which will be filled with kim jong-suh's past hit songs and the second part with the songs by overseas artists. this is the second long-term concert kim has held since his debut.

dhlove: actresses kim so yun and chae rim has made a trip to japan for a modeling project. chae rim, being away from t.v for a while finally made her comeback with a sexy new look. kim so yun, also not in t.v alot has also made her "comeback". pictures from the photo shoot can be requested through my email.

minwooz_babie: group shinhwa's vocalist lee minwoo will appear for the first time as a cast member on popular sbs sitcom, "orange" starting from mid-october. although he has acted for several other sitcoms in the past, minwoo had only been in one or two, along with the 5 other shinhwa members. minwoo will attempt to master the skill of acting during this experience with "orange", and will be the second shinhwa member to have a go at acting, after member kim dongwan. it is said that other members will also join in and take part in more schedules that involve acting. "orange", which is based around a the theme of life-guards at a swimming pool, will also hire a new actress, jung dahye.

jusunlee: japanese tbs television has chosen boa's song "no.1" as their asian games theme song. tbs will exclusively cover the asian games in japan and will play boa's song each time a game is broadcast which means that "no.1" will be aired many times even during the course of one day. boa currently has two of her songs placed among the top ten of the japanese oricon chart - "miracle" at number 3, and "valenti" at number 6. japanese fans have requested for a japanese version of "no.1" which has been included in her 7th single album. her "miracle" album was also released in korea last tuesday.

mellowyellow: jo sung mo is planning to release two simultaneous albums this month, "the end" and "don't forget to remember". "the end" has nationally recognized musicians involved in the making and will be released by hae sung media, while "don't forget to remember" is a compilation of songs and concerts from the past 4 years of jo sung mo's career released by gm music, jo sung mo's previous label company. the fact that two simultaneous albums will come out is causing quite a stir in the korean music entertainment world. not only is "don't forget to remember" being released without jo sung mo's consent, but many fans also see the release of the album as an unethical business practiced by gm music. jo sung mo's thoughts on the album release: "that album is indeed comprised of my songs... the decision to by or not will be up to the fans."
