jusunlee: kim gun-mo's long awaited 8th studio album has been out for a week now, and the album sales are expected to hit the one million mark by the end of this month. 500,000 copies have been ordered and sold in just one week, and the number keeps soaring by the day. experts say that a wide range of listeners from teenagers to those in their 50s account for the success of the album. kim's 7th studio album was also a million-seller in the spring of 2002. the songs in 'hestory' include the title song "wedding invitation," "i love you," "scent" and "a swallow."

jusunlee: boa became the first korean singer to receive the gold disc award. with her first and second studio albums each selling more than one million copies, she became one of the biggest stars in japan in 2002. the 2003 gold disc awards ceremony will be held at the nhk hall in japan.

jusunlee: want to lose a few extra pounds? do it sung si-kyung style. recently, sung si-kyung lost 8 pounds through boxing. he has been learning boxing since january at a gym in southern seoul, six days a week, one hour and half hours each session. he plans to show off his built when he releases his 3rd studio album later this year. currently, sung si-kyung is focusing on school and is writing songs with song-writer kim hyung-suk.

jusunlee: teenage pop artist rich is to participate in american pop idol justin timberlake's promotion tour in japan on march 6th. timberlake's interest in the korean r&b market led him to contact jive records, rich's management. timberlake listened to rich's last two albums became quite interested in rich's 2nd studio album released just a couple of weeks ago in korea. rich, who has always been a fan of nsync gladly accepted timberlake's invitation.

jusunlee: 'take' is the latest addition to the korean pop boy-member vocal group; they even call themselves the successors of the sensational five-member group h.o.t. their singing and dancing skills were proven at the shanghai music festival last year where they received the grand prize. take began recording their debut alum at the end of last year and many people are keeping an eye on this new group. the members consist of kim do-wan, lee min-hyuk, shin seung-hee, jang sung-jae and nathan lee.

jusunlee: psy has, on more than one occasion, expressed his "tender" feelings toward boa during the past few months. he appeared as a guest at boa's fan meeting event and sang his hit song 'paradise' with her, after which he expressed his "feelings" by giving her a brotherly bear hug. apparently, boa, who is in new york for vocal and dance training, contacted psy and requested that he write two songs for her 3rd studio album, which is scheduled to be released in may. she specifically requested that one be a fast piece, "psy style," and the other a slower number that they can sing together. psy, of course, has gladly accepted her request.

jusunlee: kim dong-wan of shinhwa recently donated 10 million won to the victims and their families of the daegu subway tragedy two weeks ago. the members of shinhwa, including kim dong-wan heard the news of the tragedy while in turkey shooting the group's new music video. upon his return, kim dong-wan donated the large sum through kbs tv's charity show 'love request.' apparently, he did this without telling the rest of the group members. kim is well-known as 'a man of justice' and expressed anger and deep sorrow toward the biggest subway tragedy in korea's history.

jusunlee: ahn jae-mo's management company midus entertainment recently signed a license contract with hong kong's asia entertainment group (aeg) which would enable ahn's party to collect 40% of profits earned from album sales or concerts. ahn jae-mo plans to release his album in hong kong, taiwan and china this coming may. in june, he is to hold concerts in these areas.

jusunlee: singer lee soo-young has made it to the number one spot once again on mbc tv's 'music camp.' this is the third time her song made it to the top spot in the past 3 months with the songs 'la la la,' 'indebted' and this time 'goodbye,' a remake of a japanese song. she has long held the title of 'hit maker' for singing hit song after hit song since her debut.

jusunlee: jang nara is to sign a contract with a japanese record label. jang nara, who recently finished shooting the movie "oh happy day" will be in japan during march to talk with the company officials and to study japanese. after launching her album in japan, she plans to move on to taiwan and the southeast asian regions where her recent dramas and album were received well by local fans.

jusunlee: park ji-yoon is back with her 6th album which is at the receiving end of much criticism from k-pop listeners and broadcasting stations. people are criticizing park for plagiarizing bionce knowles' single "work it out" which was released last year. the way park dresses in her new album is also the target of criticism, an example being her exaggerated puffed up hairdo. broadcasting stations have censored her title song "do you know how?" from airing for being excessively sexual.

jusunlee: group jewelry has been chosen as models for new balance, an international sports shoes and clothing brand. jewelry will attend their first fan meeting event at the new balance store in myongdong, central seoul.

jusunlee: ahn jae-mo's song "for the one" from his debut album is a sensation. recently, ahn chose the song "my lady" as his second pr song, and he dedicates it to the victims of the daegu subway tragedy that took place two weeks ago. more than one hundred people died in the two subway trains that were set on fire by a man in his fifties suffering from mental and physical handicap. ahn said that the lyrical contents of "my lady" is about saying goodbye to one's beloved, and expressed his wish of comforting the families of the victims through his music.

jusunlee: boa attended the 45th grammy awards ceremony at the madison square garden in new york. she said she was thrilled to meet world stars like eminem, nsync and the beegees, adding that she too would like to perform at the grammy's some day. boa is currently in new york for vocal and dance training and received the invitation to the grammy's through korea's cable music channel m.net.

jusunlee: group cleo is ready to release its 4th studio album and it has devised an unusual plan to promote it. they plan to sell a limited number of the single album at 100 won each. for the next two weeks, 200 albums will be sold each day for 100 won (hey, you can't even buy a pack of gum these days with a 100 won coin). if cleo gets 50,000 preorders for the copy of their 4th studio album, then, the group's new album will be released this month. the single album contains the songs "fairytale" and "spy" from the official album.

jusunlee: there have been many rumors lately about the popular male duo country kko kko's potential break up. the members of country kko kko shin jung-hwan and tak jae-hoon have confirmed that the rumors will simply remain as rumors. shin jung-hwan's contract with his current management is expiring in april, but he says no matter which management he belongs to, tak jae-hoon will continue to be his singing partner. the duo has a nationwide concert tour which began on march 3rd.

jusunlee: rich is back with his 2nd studio album. once again, most of the songs in the album contains r&b numbers, but varying in style. the title song is entitled "beginning today," an r&b/soul style music. other songs in the album include latin style r&b number "the way home," "destiny" and a 60's r&b "why didn;t i say." rich says he has been practicing the piano extensively for live performances.

jusunlee: all-round entertainer group click-b is back with their 4th studio album. originally, a seven-member idol boy band, the "new" click-b members have been reduced to four. naturally, the group's music style has changed too. if the former seven-member click-b was a band, the new four-member click-b is strictly a dance and vocal group. the group's music consists of dance, ballad, r&b and hip-hop. the title song is entitled "cowboy."

jusunlee: actress oh seung-hyun is to appear in brown eyes' second pr song entitled 'for you.' the actress will fly to nagasaki, japan for five days for the shooting of the music video. the content of the brown eyes' latest music video is about the love story between a street musician and a rich girl. download the music video here by right-click, save as.
