jusunlee: korean pop artist leeds was recently placed at the number two spot on a japanese k-pop radio chart trailing right behind brown eyes placed at number one. the song that took the number two spot is not the title song of the album as might be expected but the second track in the album entitled "tear drops." leeds made her debut last october with her r&b style album. she still has not made any media appearances but plans to do so beginning this month.

jusunlee: korean pop idol group g.o.d is back with its much-awaited 5th studio album. released on december 26th, the album sold 700,000 copies in just two days after its release. the title song of the album is an endearing and deep soul/hip-hop song entitled "a letter" which talks about a touching love story of a man in prison. as always, park jin-young produced the album, but the members personally directed and recorded the music themselves.

soompi.com: baby vox will be launching a promotional tour in 5 regions, including hong kong, china, usa, japan, and thailand. they will start off on january 17 in hong kong for 5 days, followed by a concert in kwang dung, china on january 23. they will then briefly visit korea to finish up their new album. they will head for a week-long trip to los angeles on february 8 to participate in the california festival in hollywood, as well as in the ksci tv taping and concert. in march, baby vox will release a single album in japan, followed by the april release of the music for the 3d animation game platonic chain. they will round off their international promotion with an appearance at the thailand grammy asian music awards on march 21.

soompi.com: former x-japan leader/drummer yoshiki will contribute to jo sung-mo's new album, and jo sung-mo will take the stage at yoshiki's concert. yoshiki invited jo sung-mo to perform as the korean singer representative at nhk's 50th anniversary concert in japan on february 1. in return, yoshiki will be giving jo a new song around january 15. jo will add lyrics to the song and perform it during the nhk show. the song will also be included in the new jo sung-mo album, to be released at the end of february.

soompi.com: putting a temporary hold on performing as fin.k.l, each member took up different interests in last april. lee jin became an actress, starring in the mbc sitcom "new nonstop iii". sung yuri became an actress also, starring in "bad girls" and "mak sahng mak ha". ock ju hyun became a radio dj, and lee hyo ri became a mc. each member received an award, "separate but together," at the 2002 mbc drama awards and kbc drama awards.

jusunlee: jtl released a special album recently with a rather woeful christmas song entitled "santa baby" which talks about a lonely christmas day without a. the members have also included a song, which talks about the controversial acquittal of two american soldiers who manned the armored vehicle that killed two teenage girls last june and even delivers a message for the new president. the members of jtl composed, wrote and produced all the songs in this special album, which includes songs like "a prayer", and "happy memories".

jusunlee: park ji-yoon received awards for three categories at hong kong's asian music awards ceremony including "best selling album" award and "most frequently played song" for the song "i'm a man" from her 5th album. the album sold 60,000 copies in hong kong alone, and park was even named "the best foreign female artist" at the 3rd annual chinese national music chart ceremony.

jusunlee: brown eyes have done it again. their debut album last year with the hit "a year has already passed" sold 900,000 copies and their second album released this winter season promises to be another mega hit. already half a million copies have been sold in just three weeks. the title song of the duo's second album "more and more" has been placed on the number one spot on various internet music sites in just a few days after the album release. it's pretty amazing considering the fact that the duo refuses to promote their album through any sort of media appearances.

jusunlee: boa is one busy star these days. she is on the vip guest list of every year-end awards ceremonies coming up in both korea and japan. boa's albums were a sensation in both countries with songs such as "no.1" and "valenti" topping various charts throughout 2002. recently, she won the 'people's choice award' at the m.net music video festival. boa says that it is an honor to have been nominated for so many awards and expressed regret over not being able to attend all of the ceremonies because of her busy schedule.

soompi.com: as a special comeback performance, shinhwa will show off their new album at the 2002 mbc teen music awards on december 31. in such an eventful night, shinhwa hopes to welcome the new year with their new song "joong dohk" as part of the show's finale event. as part of the performance all six members will start off by sitting on a sofa, until one by one each of them will stand up to sing.
