jusunlee: one of korea's most popular hip-hop artists 1tym has shed their former image and has returned this winter with their new album, which contains mostly r&b numbers. 1tym's management firm yg entertainment said the group has prepared long and hard for this album, and says it's all worth the wait. the tracks include r&b style title song "without you," and some rap numbers including "oh-oh" and "hot."

jusunlee: boa and britney spears are to appear together in a special christmas show on sbs television boa and britney's christmas live. the show was recorded at an open studio tuesday with singer sung si-kyung and tv host lee hye-seung as hosts of the show. britney spears arrived in korea this past week to promote her latest album. she said she was happy to be in korea and she looks forward to holding a concert here next year.

jusunlee: hyo-lee became the recipient of this year's kmtv award at 2003 korean music awards ceremony held wednesday and hosted by yoon do-hyun and kim so-yeon. other awards winners included lee soo-young, shinhwa, moon hee-jun, wheesung, wax, click-b, yoon band, jtl and s. finkl member e hyo-lee made her solo debut this past fall and literally became korea's sexiest female artist. since her debut, she has appeared in numerous television ads and has hosted some of the most popular television shows.

jusunlee: seven, who debuted this year, has solidified his reputation on the homefront as a poster boy for local teenagers. buoyed by his success in korea, the 20-year-old young pop star is trying to advance into other asian entertainment markets. and his attempts have been fruitful. his first album, "just listen," sold like hot cakes in china, taiwan and hong kong. and according to the bangkok post, seven is a huge hit there as well. the singer plans to release his first single album in japan in february and eventually debut in the u.s. market through emi.

jusunlee: the korean pop music scene recently added a fresh new face to its list of talented artists. lisa is her name and she recently debuted with her first album entitled "finally." k-pop listeners are already raving over lisa, who has the looks, the voice and most importantly, real talent. lisa has lived most of her life overseas in europe and is currently an art major at hong-ik university, an institution that boasts a prestigious arts school. lisa's debut album contains mostly r&b and ballad songs, written by well-known korean song-writers including shim hyun-bo.

jusunlee: korean anti-aids federation has chosen singer kang sung as their publicity agent. the organization cited the singer's clean-cut, innocent-looking image as reasons for choice. kang sung, well-known for singing the theme song of a sensationally popular television drama "ya in shi dae," will appear in a number of anti-aids campaign including media advertisements and tv documentaries beginning next month.

jusunlee: popular singer kim jin-pyo recently returned from his seven-week-long honeymoon around the south pacific islands and has posted up pictures and other mementos of the dream trip on his personal website jphole.com for his fans. kim has described his married life as blissful and says he has gained so much weight from the meals he cooks everyday together with his wife. he has posted up some gorgeous pictures from bora bora and tahiti. meanwhile, kim jin-pyo recently took the number one spot for the best hip-hop artist category at the m.net music video festival. what a lucky guy!

jusunlee: group turtles has released their second studio album. turtles debuted last year and the title song of the album 'four seasons' became a big hit. this time, they have added new member dambi to the group, who spices up the group's music with her powerful vocal style. turtleman, the leader of the pack composed, wrote and produced all the songs in the album. the title song is 'come one,' a miami style dance music the lyrics of which encourage shy lovers to open up themselves and be more passionate.

jusunlee: the korean broadcasters association chose boa as the recipient of the 2003 proud korean award. the annual award is given out to outstanding people who dedicate themselves to making korea better known in the global community in the areas of politics, economy, culture and arts and sports. boa, of course has been honored for her accomplishments in spreading korean pop culture throughout asia.

jusunlee: jang nara recently sent some 300 million won worth of menstrual pads to the women of north korea. jang, who is a special publicity envoy for a south korean famine relief organization, had on previous occasions, sent daily necessities to north korea worth several million won. she also plans to send 200 million won worth of powdered milk for the impoverished babies of the communist neighbor by the end of the year.
