Position Descriptions
VPMA deputy (2)
Must be an excellent communicator, as the position's primary responsibility is to advise and assist the VPMA. Other responsibilities include holding office hours, attending SA meetings, and keeping up to date with the latest news and events in campus. Previous experience in the Student Association or a SA chartered organization preferred. As a deputy, you will gain hands-on experience with all the functions of the VPMA office.
Earthtones Editor-in-Chief (1)
We are re-starting the Earthtones publication, a multicultural newsletter, from scratch. Prior experience in being an editor for a SA chartered publication a must. The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for recruiting a staff team including writers and editors to oversea the publication of the newsletter.
IcA Chair (1)
The IcA Chair is the head of the internal affairs of the VPMA office and overlooks the IcA committee, which consists of 17 cultural organizations. The IcA Chair must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Responsibilities include creating an agenda for the IcA this school year, presiding over the IcA weekly meetings, overseeing multicultural events hosted by the IcA, and attending events and eBoard meetings held by IcA member organizations when necessary.
IcA Vice-Chair (1)
The IcA Vice-Chair is responsible for assuming the duties and position of the Chair if the position of the Chair becomes vacant, recruiting cultural organizations that are presently not IcA members to join the IcA, and working closely with the Chair to attend events and eBoard meetings held by IcA member organizations when necessary.
IcA Treasurer (1)
Responsible for all the financial related issues of the IcA. Must be good with numbers, responsive, and responsible to process vouchers at a timely manner. Needs to pass the SA treasurer exam. Must attend the IcA weekly meetings.
IcA Program Director (1)
Responsible for organizing and coordinating all events held by the IcA. Must have prior experience coordinating events at a SA chartered organization. As a IcA Program Director, you will be creating your own event team to hold multicultural events such as the International Movie Festival. The IcA will also hold events with collaboration with its members, in which case the Program Director will be the lead Director for the event.
